How to MEASURE & ESTIMATE an area for carpet...

To determine the approximate quantity of carpet you will need, multiply the length (in metres) of the room by its width (in metres) for the square meterage. To be safe we suggest adding 10 percent to account for room irregularities and pattern match.
It is best to have an installer make final measurements to ensure that you purchase the correct amount.
One lineal metre of carpet is 3.66m wide by one metre long. To convert square metres into lineal meters, simply divide by 3.66. Our calculator does this for you.
